Set the stage for success

Many people create a presentation that’s intended to do double duty as pre-read and slide deck. This hybrid format reduces their persuasive potential because pre-reads and slide decks serve different purposes.

The result? Lose-lose, for presenter and audience.

A useful pre-read must make sense to the reader without additional explanation: it stands alone. In contrast, well-designed slides augment, but do not replace, the presenter’s verbal messages: the slides cannot stand alone.

This session shows you how to create engaging, magazine-style pre-reads that truly stand alone in presenting your case or aligning your audience so that you can use valuable meeting time for discussion, decision, and implementation.
